I am trying to find any details or decendents of Thomas Goodliffe - born in Deene, Northants in 1815 and given 10 years transportation to Tasmania at the Lent Assizes in 1839. I know he was transported on the 'David Clarke' and landed in Hobart on 4 Oct 1841. In 1849 he was declared 'free' and I can't find out any more about him. I have checked the UK census' and he doesn't appear to have come home. Are there any Goodliffe's in Australia or Tasmania who may be related? Amanda |
