Trying to find Wells

Hi I am looking for Wells side of the family from Tasmania,Australia, there is a Claude Nathaniel(my grandfather) Born 1898-1900 (he died 1945) His mother either Amelia or Elizabeth Wells he had sisters & brothers one of which was Florence born 1896, Claude&Florence were raised in the Newtown Charitable Institution, Claude & Florence lived in Hobart together at one stage until he joined the AIF in 1918, if anyone has any information I would really appreciate it, I have some information from the army & the Tasmanian archives but it has some conflicting information,His mother was not married so Wells was her maiden name. He married my grandmother Lily Evelyn Palmer in 1923 in Victoria. Hopefully someone out there has some info. Regards Bev |
