Trying to find Bott

I'm trying to find information on the family of George (b1889 Whitlock, Leics), Bertrand (b1892 Coalville, Leics), Edith Annie (b1894 Coalville, Leics), and Doris (b1900 Coalville, Leics). According to my mother they were first cousins of my grandmother, Annie Dorothy Bott (b1894 Rock Ferry, Cheshire) but I can't find the connecting relative. Their father was William Bott, a Midlands Railways engine driver (b1857 in Woodhouse, Leics), and their mother was Mary (b1858 Worthington, Leics) But although my great-grandfather, George Edward Bott (b1857 Markfield, Leics) HAD a brother William, he wasn't born until 1870. Even going back a generation hasn't helped. The 1901 census lists them as living in West End Cottages, Oxford Street, Coalville, Leics. I only ever knew Edith, (or Edie as she was known) who married a Mr Jackson (widower or divorcee with a son David) and lived in Ashby de la Zouche. The others I never knew, but according to my mother, George had a son William 'Billy' Bott, and Bertrand was married to a lady called Ethel. It's assumed that Doris died as a child, as no one in the family has heard of her. Can anyone supply the missing link?
