Just traced my g g grandmother Margaret Gibson ( formally Denovan nee McDougall) death certificate. She died 26 White Street Govan Glasgow aged 65. Her grand daughter Margaret Hall registered her death. I have no idea who this could be, can anybody help? Margaret was formally married to Alexander Denovan in 1865 she had an Illigitimate daughter also called Margaret McDougall born in 1863. Margaret married Alexander Cameron Gibson in 1873 after her first husband died. Alexander Gibson's first wife Margaret McCrae also died around the same time..So Margaret became stepmother to Alexanders children. Young Margaret McDougall married Alexander Gibson's son John McCrae Gibson. So I'm a wee bit baffled as to the grandaughter Margaret Hall? is she an issue from Alexander Gibson side or did Margaret go on to have more children with Alexander C Gibson ?? Thank you for taking the time to read this...
