Hi Joe,

Sounds as though Brittle Lane could be Brettell Lane, both a street and a hamlet in the parish of Kingswinford. The best parishes to try apart from Kingswinford would be Brierley Hill and Dudley.

Hi Trying to trace birth parents of William Timmins born in 1839 (1881 cencus says Brittle lane Worcester, 1901 census says Brickley lane Staffs) married Maria Molineux born 1840 in Coven Lane Stafford in Wolverhampton in 1862 they moved to Newcastle on Tyne about 1868,they had 8 children in total. Seem to have run into a dead end regarding birth place. He was my great grandfather. Anyone out there who knows anything about these places to see if I can solve the puzzle. Regards Joe Timmins
