Trying to find Kendell

Hi Gaynor & Julie
I have two branches of Kendells in my tree. On my side I have gone back to 1777 but can`t get out of Alverstoke in Hampshire. They were mainly employed with the boat building industry.
The other branch, on my wifes side, originated in Leeds, going back to Thomas Kendell 1827, married to Sarah Boulton. They ended up in London.
Let me know if this helps.

Hello Gaynor,

I am sorry but none of your ancestors appear to be connected with my Kendell's! As far as we are aware, we have no relatives from Leeds or the surrounding areas, although as both my grandparents are deceased it is not easy gathering information. I will let you know if anything does come up that may be of interest.

Hello, I am responding to Julie Stringer about trying to find Kendell family ancestors. My granddad was Lawrence Kendell and was born in 1894.He had brothers but unfortunately I don't know them and i never saw him as he died when he was 69. The funny thing is that He lived in Leeds and lived there with his wife Mabel(my grandma!)my mum,Shirley, her sister Betty and their brother Jack.My mum thinks he came from Leeds but isn't entirely sure. There doesn't seem to be a great many Kendells spelt in this way so you would think they would be easir to find. Please reply with anything that may ring a bell with your family.
