Still searching for COLLINS in the Dublin area My gt.gFthr was Thomas COLLINS b abt 1840 M Mary Ann HERBERT They had 4 daughters 3 became nun's My gtFthr was Luke COLLINS b abt 1870 M Mary SMITH at PRO Cathedral Dublin July 1895. They had two son's John Joseph & My Fthr. William Herbert COLLINS. Luke remarried after the death of Mary to a widow with 5 daughter's her surname was Margaret Kyle. Her daughters from her first marriage were Sarah, (Sally)Margaret (Maggie),Brownie,Rebecca (Becky) & Elizabeth (Lizzie). They had a Daughter Mary & son Philip. The whole family then came to Leicester England around 1914. 2 sister's went to live in Nottingham one in Liverpool. Their maiden names were Kyle.One sister had two sons named Luke & Lorry CASS.I know one was a Telegram Boy in the PostOffice. I would be pleased to hear from anyone who may be connected or know anything about this family |
