My Grandfather was born in northern France, one of 9 children. His mother was Elizabeth Nield of Staley Bridge, Lancs Bth 1828 I wonder if there are still 'Nields' in the area? My Gt, Gt Grandfather, Reuben Flint, Bth 1798, married Barbara Bates and I am sure that they lived in Ireland for a while because my Gt Grandfather , Alfred was born there. At his death, Reuben Flint was buried in Stockport Parish Church, Cheshire. I have a lot of history including the movement and expansion of my family in France during this period of time which may help others....................Eric Flint. |
