Hi there. I am trying to find information on the Nield families of Ashton-under-Lyne and Mossley in Lancashire. These families were involved in the cotton industry in the 1800's and were mill owners and mill managers. One branch of Nields lived at Apsley House in the West End of Ashton and another were managers at Brookbottom Mill in Upper Mossley. The Brookbottom family consisted of James (father) who had children Charles, George, Martha, James, Betsy, John, Thomas, Decimus and Edmund. I would be very grateful for any information concerning either of these families. Thank you.
