Looking for any relatives of the Shackletons - John (Todmorden 1812) married Mary Ann (poss Thomas) from Errington Yorkshire and their children were William, Hannah (my G G Grandmother) John, Elizabeth, Sarah, James and Fanny (all born in Cragg near Sowerby) The family moved to Oldham and worked mainly in the Cotton Mills. James married Harriet who was from Ireland and in 1891 they were still living in Oldham with their children John W, Mary H and Edward and working in the Mills still. Any help would be much appreciated as would like to find some relatives still in Yorkshire. |
