I am looking for my grandmother's family. She was born Diane Lassie David, leicestershire, England. Emmigrated to Australia in 1922.

I have found her family up to her father and wondered if anyone can help with finding records in France. Her father was born in burgundy france. Can anyone help with searching for his records.

Thanks Cathrine

I assume you have this marriage registration?

Marriages Jun 1885 (>99%)

Comfort Olive Rebecca Chelsea 1a 591
David Hector Hippolyte Chelsea 1a 591

If you send off for this, you will find the names of the two fathers and their occupations, and the address where Olive and Hector were living.

Thanks yes we have all of her details now right up to her death. What we do need is information for her father and his parents. We have all his records up until his death in London but no birth records. We have information of her grandfather's name and occupation carpenter but not his place of birth and nothing for her grandmother.

The only details we have for her father is his place of birth and fathers name, everything else is a blank. France is where we have to go but without knowing where he was born exactly we have a wall. Any ideas on how to get around or over it would help greatly.

Thanks Cathrine
