Hi Bernadette

My father was born in Coaley (Ken Pegler) he is now deceased, but talking to my mother she said there were seven families of Pegler's living there at the time, and none were related. Pegler is a Gloucestershire name. This was in the early 1950's (before I was born!!). I did have quite a few relatives living in Coaley but unfortunately they are all deceased now.

I am trying to find ancestors of my 2 greats grandfather. His name was George Pegler born in Stroud. Married Elizabeth Ford born in Coley. George worked as a butcher in Coley/Slimbridge and later he was a policeman in Cheltenham. Since then he and Elizabeth have disappeared from any records.
