Mhari,

Those two look like what I needed. Did you manage to note the parents (I have assumed because you haven't said otherwise, that they were those I expected as per my request, but just wanted to be sure)?

Thanks again for all your help.

Mhairi

Have just been looking at form su 3 to order certificates - how do the numbers you gave fit in to the form? There are spaces for RD number, year and entry number.

Margaret

Parents as you stated unless i state different :)

Nicola

the number with the / through it is the RN number and the other is the entry number.

Hope that makes sense

I thought i'd add this

www.thesft.moonfruit.com

If you have Scottish ancestors, the above website (a taster website really), is a great place to be.

Come and join the forum, there are a very friendly bunch of people just waiting to help...the forum is free as well :) Great news for anyone with Scots blood running through their veins :p

Before anyone asks, i dont own it/run it. I am a member (with a less glamorous title) and just think its a great site. I know plenty of people who'll agree with me.

Mhairi,

Thank you so much - my wife has asked me to say thanks too as it is for her family tree. Sadly, this July, we attended the funeral in Edinburgh of the informant you found - E B Rennie (who's my wife's aunt).

Your kindness is much appreciated.
Kind Regards
Carl
