	thing is, its pointless looking for even Alice Gant in 1901 census... this is the obvious one Name: Alice Gant Age: 12 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1889 Relation: Daughter Father's Name: George E Mother's Name: Thornison Gender: Female Where born: Tadcaster, Yorkshire, England Civil Parish: West Tadcaster Ecclesiastical parish: Tadcaster St Mary Town: Tadcaster County/Island: Yorkshire Country: England Registration district: Tadcaster Sub-registration district: Tadcaster ED, institution, or vessel: 1 Neighbors: View others on page Household schedule number: 215 Household Members: Name Age Alice Gant 12 George E Gant 50 Loria Gant 9 Thornison Gant 46 Willie Gant 14 BUT there are 25 other Alice Gants all over the country - who may well have been in Yorks by 1910. this Alices father was called George, and was a brewers Drayman - the marriage cert will tell you the brides fahers name & occ- if t matches this info, then you are away Otherwise, we'll have to look deeper into the others

	no, you have to buy it- the cert will cost you £7 from the general records office - you have to send away for it (or order on line is easier)

	so Ada catherine was born to Alice Gant & George Nicholls - yes? The marriage cert will tell you both fathers names, and their ages
