Find Ancestors

Hello Julie, Can you help me in my search for details of John Chaplain c1765 BMD. Think he married Sarah c1770.some time late 1700.
He lived in the Harwich area, presume he was born there.
They had a son John c1809, born Harwich who married Susannah Simms Harvey c1812. Marriage 1832.

I was wondering if your kind offer is still open?
I am just starting out trying to research my family tree and am finding it very difficult to find out about my fathers family.
I have found out that my grandmother (Ethel May Wetton) was born 27th August 1925 in Lambeth and that her mothers maiden name was Nicholls.(no idea of first name but it is possible she was also ethel may)
This is as far as i have got i am afraid. I know she had a brother, but dont know his name or date of birth. Any info whatsoever woud be brilliant, no matter how small a detail.
Sorry if this is too little an amount of information to find anything.

Thank you for your kind offer.

Could you see if you could find a birth/ baptism/ parents names for Thomas Johnson, born about 1818, Upminster.

His military records state that he was born near the town of Brentwood, Upminster.

He has (most annoyingly) in various census etc, been transcribed as Johnston/ Johnstone.

Any help you can give would be really appreciated.

hi julie my name is paula im searching the nicholls side . my grandfather was a nicholls he was born in braintree essex bertie charles nicholls 1901. i have tryed so hard to find out is parents names all which keeps coming back to me is bertie henry nicholls with parents names i want to know if you could find any info out for me will be much appricieated . kind regards paula

When you say Essex do you mean the current Essex - or the old Essex which included some of East London - ie Canning Town, West Ham etc?

HI julie, Could you look up marriage and birth records for John Fisher born 1811 Easthorp and Martha Quashborn 1814. Also their children Martha born 1836 John 1838 and Thomas 1840. I also saw something about the registered district Barking.

Hello, If you wouldnt mind just checking for a Charles Butler b 1867 and a Maria Butler b 1870. Both say they were born Woolwich but I can only hope as I have exhausted all the parish records for that area. They were both in the Metropolitan District School by 1881 so they may have been baptised elsewhere.

Baptism of Elijah Shell, 1810 Leigh (parents belived to be John and Eliz). Also trying to find any siblings of Elijah.

Marriage of John Shell to Eliz ?.

Understand that this is really vague, sorry I don't have more info.

Baptisms 1766-1864 B.Transcripts : C/CR 195/1-3.

If there are any other TOTT's around this time I would be most grateful. John has been most elusive up to now.
