Looking for place of birth of ggrandparents Edward Edwards b abt 1833 and Mary Ann Page b abt 1836. He was a currier (? leatherworker). Also any relatives of grandfather Herbert Edwards b 20 Feb 1878. Birth cert gives place of birth as 5 Northampton st Southwark. |

Thank for all that. I had got 1881 census and the 1851 cenus but not he rest of your info. The marriage detail I haven't got but will order copy cert today. Two marriages both wives named Mary? the 1854 marriage give her name as Mary Page. |

Thanks Marion. I remember my grandfather saying that his father was a leather worker, but on the grandfathers marriage cert the occupation is given as currier. |

Christine, GRO have emailed me that they have not produced a marriage certificate for 1874 although the Edward Edwards and Mary Ann Page appear on Poplar 1c 1180 they are not married to each other. which takes me back to the one marriage in 1874. Im still waiting for the 1854 certificate to arrive, hopefully it will confirm I have the right Edward & Mary. |

Christine, I have received 1854 marriage cert and names given are Edward Edwards & Mary Page. Having looked at census fro some of their children, they all give mother as Mary Ann Page. Could it be that her second name wasnt recorded at the time of the wedding? |
