Hi Linda. My Blewett ancestors come from St. Mabyn. My g.grandfather William Blewett(b.1853) had 2 brothers (& 6 sisters) The brothers were Henry (born 1860) and John (b.1862). I don't know who Henry married but I have quite a lot of info about John who married Eliza Jane Pyne in 1892. Their third son was Ernest John Blewett (b.1897 in St. Mabyn) John (1862) and his wife Eliza emigrated to Australia in 1912 along with all their children. Does this sound like your grandfather's family?
I have quite a lot of other info about this family and their various ancestors.
Regards
Annie Rogers (Blewett)

Hi Anne, Thank you for replying to my request. My great grandad Henry was a gardener & I believe he was married to a lady who's maiden name was Petheroe who came from Bodmin. I've only just got started on this task & not doing very well. I'am down the line of Henry's son Ernest who married Daisy Conner, so do you think we are related somewhere or could it be a different Henry. Regards Linda.

I believe this is Henry Blewett (born 1860 in St. Mabyn, Cornwall. He was aged 1 in the 1861 census at St. Mabyn. He had at least 8 brothers and sisters: Elizabeth (b.1852), William (b.1853), Mary (b.1855), Emma (b.1857), John (b. 1862 - he emigrated to Australia in 1912), Fanny (b.1864), Emma (b.1867) and Sarah Jane (b.1870). They were all the children of John Blewit (spelling seems to vary each generation) - 1813-1894 - who married Phillipa Keat Langdon (b.1829 in St. Teath). They were married on 26th December 1849.
I am descended from Henry's brother William Blewit (Blewett) born in 1813. John Blewit was one of 9 children of William Blewett (b. circa 1778) and his wife Mary Cornelius (born in St. Tudy circa 1780). They were married on 2nd July 1800, probably in Egloshayle. I can go back another possibly 2 generations or let you have a copy of the relevant tree if you are interested.
I haven't managed to get all the details on my Genes Reunited tree yet!

I think he was born in 1862 in Cornwall, & he married a lady with the sir name of Pye.? He had my grandad Ernest in St Maybin,Cornwall in 1884, it would be nice to know if he had any brothers/sisters or any facts/parents e.t.c. about henry or his wife.
