Trying to find any Hughes relations in Wales, My grandfather Robert Hughes was born in Blaenau Ffestiniog in 1883, he moved to S. Wales valleys in 1906, I believe some of his siblings moved around the same time, he had brothers Griffith,David,Thomas William and Hugh and sisters Mary and Elenor so if theres any Hugheses out there who think they may be related, please get in touch as ive hit a large brick wall! |

I have a William John Hughes d.o.b.1879 believed to have come from North Wales but I can't find-out where. He was a widow when he married my Grandmother in 1911 her name was Martha Amy Barnard who was living at 32 Wolsey Street,Kirkdale,Liverpool,William was living at 58 Viola Street,Bootle,Liverpool occupation Dock Labourer,at that time quite a lot of Welsh people were living in that Street and in the area, his father was Owen Hughes who's occupation was a Blacksmith.Perhaps if you search the Liverpool area you might have some luck. |
