May be worth looking back in the Forest Area you often see deceased people going home for their funeral, local papers are Gloucester Citizen or the Forester) I am originally from Gloucester and knew a Saunders family from the Forest. Forest of Dean District Council used to be in Cinderford or Coleford, may be give them a try.

Good luck
Elaine

Try the Local Town Hall they keep all Burials, Graves & Purchased Graves. Ask for the clerk who deals with the burial registers & when you get a grave number ask who else is buried there. I have been transcribing burials in Selby North Yorkshire & know how the system works. Good luck Ron.

Can anyone help please. I am trying to find a buriel place for a Lionel Allen Saunders b1913 in Lydney Forest of Dean. He died in Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton Somerset on the 26th June 1952. I have contacted all the Cemetries in this area but have come up with nothing.
