Hi Helen,

I have a Mary Harper in my tree - born around - 1869 in Tipton. However, she married
William George Parkes. Had two sons William and Harry

I don't think this is your Mary - but stranger things have happened. Should you come across any information on mine. I would be grateful if you would pass it along

Thanks, but that Mary Harper was still living with her parents in 1891 (or at least shown on the census as doing so) whereas mine married in 1883, and appeared elsewhere in the 1891 census with her husband and children.

Unfortunately, I don't have any information on her family at all except for the possible father's name.

I'm trying to find any information on Mary Ann Harper, my great-grandmother, born about 1865 in (perhaps) Dudley. On her marriage to Stanley Wright (or John Stanley Wright) in 1883, she gave her father as James Harper (deceased), but I'm not convinced she was telling the truth as I can't find any obvious matches for a birth record.

Even if you don't think you have a link, I'm interested in any information about a Mary or Mary Ann Harper born in England or Wales in 1860-1870, so I can try and eliminate them from the list of candidates for my great-grandmother!
