Hi Barbara. If you go into www.familysearch.org (free) you will see for yourself how many William Owens were born in Lancs. I can't find onw for Dean, but it may have changed name by now. As I do not know the area, you will have a better idea of which area is nearby. Good luck with your search

A ggg grandfather born in Dean Bolton. Looking for birth info or any information on his parents, siblings, etc. He married a Mary (Russel?) in 1831 and had three daughters, Ann, Elizabeth and Alice. Is he in your tree?
