wayne thank you once again as i said am very new to all this even to learning the computer the info you have given me is brilliant i now have something to go on, i have also found out that there is a records musuem in portsmouth, as soon as i can i will go down there as i now have the info to go on , many thanks once again diane.. |

yes to order a cert is very easy. Use this link.... https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/Login.asp... register yourself (you'll only need to do this once), then you can start ordering certs! for every cert you will need the name of the person, the place of the event, the year, quarter, and the volume and page number of the original entry, so for Elizabeth, |

hi, wayne i have since been crying for about an hour i cant believe that you have found all this out for me , i can never thank you enough , i have just retired myself so have not been doing this very long and have to be honest don't really understand the workings of it all ,so please forgive me for asking but how do i go about getting certificates etc, the thing i dont understand is what the numbers you have given me are for like 2b9043q would that be to order cert.? you were right on the marriage as my grandfathers name was charles william the thing i still dont understand is where my grandmoter was living it seems with her aunt mary .if i can get her birth cert it should tell me who her parents were??? thank you once again i am still shaking in shock but very happy thank you , i now have to say a big thank you to a lady who has been looking for me as well ,, regards diane... |

hi wayne sorry have no idea whatsoever that is what is making it so difficult, there are only myself and a few of my family left no one has any idea, all we know is she was married to our grandfather who name was charles cook her full name being elizabeth emily cook[ nee honey] i know my grandfather was born october 1890 so i would have thought that my grandmother would have been born round about that time give or take a few years i know my grandfather was born in portsea portsmouth so assume my grandmother was born in the same area.any help would be very welcome as i have hit a blank wall ,, regards diane. |
