Looking for info on John, born in Scotland, Sep 1878. He married Isabella Bird Adams, of Leith, in Malta 1903. She died giving birth to their son John, in 1904.

I have since discovered that John went on to marry Isabella's sister, Margaret, and they had a son, John. A difficult one to unravel!.

Was he still in the Army, when he married for a second time? You could get his army records which may give some personal info. You'd have to get them from National Archives.
