I hadn't considered this..thought I'd try all UK possibilities first. I do know from the copy of the marriage cert that his father was named Harold Reginald Jones, a civil engineer and deceased at the time Tony and Enid were married.

Hi all

Trying to find out anything at all about this man! His name was Tony Vaughan Jones, born about 1885. Place of birth unknown. He may have been Anthony or Antony although the name Tony appears on the marriage cert.

The only information I have is from his marriage certificate to my grandmother Enid Eileen Watts on 24/05/1916. They were married in Brighton. He was a 2nd Lieutenant in the 14th Rifle Brigade and gives his address at the time as the Hotel Metropole, Brighton. This may have been his digs or billet as it was wartime.

Enid was born 1900 in St leonards on Sea, [Hastings]
and said she was 22 although she was 16 when they married!!!

If anybody can give me details on this man, however small, I would be grateful.
