Hi

I am not related but James & Florence married in St Leonards NSW.

Florence Ada Patricia died in 1929 (reg 8100) in Sutherland NSW, daughter of Richard Bartholomew and Cecilia (nee RADBURN). Her death cert would give you all the chn's names. (She was born in Parkes NSW 1887, reg 21002).

No death for a James with parents John & Sarah, sorry.

Pearl Melva married in Sutherland in 1934 to Leslie J J SAUNDERS (reg 19852). Sadly it looks as though Pearl died on 17 June 2005 aged 87, possibly in South Australia (death notice in Adelaide Advertiser on 21 Jun 2005. Go to ryersonsindex.org for a lookup of the notice).

Freda Irene married Francis James CARNEY in 1938 in Hurstville (reg 15459). Freda died in 1971 in Sydney (reg 4046).

This looks like Claude's service papers:
DOBSON CLAUDE : Service Number - NX32133 : Date of birth - 10 Nov 1919 : Place of birth - SYDNEY NSW : Place of enlistment - PADDINGTON NSW : Next of Kin - COTTON EDITH

Not sure if Edith was an aunt or cousin but the Cotton connection seems like a good bet.

Locating a JAMES DOBSON born in preston in 1888. He migrated to australia and married a FLORENCE ada patricia cotton in 1917. He had maybe 3 children. Freda Irene, Pearl and Claude whom they called digger. His parents were either JOHN and SARAH maiden name LAWRENSON, or a mother with the maiden name COWBURN. Please help, I am desperate!! Thankyou :)
