Pamela,
I've just spoken to my husband and it all fits.

We were told that Lillian had died when Doreen was very young.

We were also told that Thomas married again after Lilian died, because Doreen grew up with the proverbial 'wicked step-mother' and left home at about aged 16.

Doreen died approx 1995.

The death of Lilian M Staples is very useful - that's solved a mystery for us.

Thomas Staples and Lillian Sharpe.
Thomas was born in 1901 in Leicestershire, Lillian born in 1899, not sure where.

They married in the March quarter in 1921 Nuneaton.

What I'm looking to find are any children they had.

I know they had Doreen Beatrice in 1936, so any children found between their marriage in 1921 and Doreen's birth in 1936 would be great.

I also was told that Lillian died shortly after Doreen's death but can't fins that anywhere.

Also Thomas may have married again after Lilian's death.

Any help gratefully received!
