Marriage Pope/Field london

I have my grandads birth cert year 1899 Parents John Field and Catherine (nee Pope) ..
I found a record of a (Kathleen ) "Pope" and John Field Marriage in 1892....... Paddington! grandad(Thomas Henry Field was reg in Kensington..... i have not been able to find any records of the family (at all) in the 1901 census!!!! can anyone offer me some advice as what to do next?
