The Ancestry records don't include Royal Marines. You need to know which division he was in - Chatham Plymouth or Portsmouth. Attestation papers may be at Kew, but if he served in WW2 as well, then his records might still be with the Marines

can any one help?

I am trying to find out info on my Grandfathers sevice record from WW1 and WW2

He served in China, The Faulklands the Battle Of Jutland and many other places.

I have tried the Natonal Archives at kew.

I have had it suggested, that I contact the Royal Marines Museum at Eastney but the web sights just seem to give info on the museum its self.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Gerry
