Still trying to find more information on William and Elizabeth Cove. I know they had two children,
William Henry George bn 14/6/1816 and christened the same year in Pentonville, London.
Robert Cove bn 15/1/1818, also christened in Pentonville, London.
There might be more children but I haven't found them? Can't seem to find William and Elizabeth's birth, marriage and death either, any help would be appreciated? I keep finding blanks, can't seem to get any further with this.
Robert would have been my 3x Grt Grandfather.
Thanks Diane.

Your search will now need to concentrate on parish records. Most of the parish registers are now stored in a County Record Office, although a few are still in the individual churches.

Some parish records can be found online ( but very few) I'd suggest having a look at the Family History online web site :

http://www.familyhistoryonline.net/

Also as a pointer you could search the LDS family web site :

All the best

Thank you Debi for the web addresses, I will check them out.

Hi Karen, I did look at the 1841 and 1851 census. The 1851 census for Mile End looked hopeful, but couldn't find the dates back to match up.

Thanks Karen, the 1851 census does look promising with William born in Wiltshire and his father name matching the middle name of William Henry. I couldn't find a marriage based on these dates or maybe it wasn't registered?
Robert was bn 1818, Christened 1819 in Pentoville, London. He married Mary Ann Botley during Jan 1840 in the Parish of St Anne's Limehouse. William is named as the father and the occupation is hard to work out but looks like Ex-cinman? or Enginman. Also one of the witnesses was a Elizabeth Cove, so they were stilll alive then.
William married a Ann Worboys during 1840.
William and Elizabeth are a bit of a mystery to me with their dates.

Hi Karen, Thanks again, hopefully it is the correct family. I wasn't sure if it was, its nice to have another person confirm it. I haven't got William's children, but hopefully have all of Robert's. The ones I have for Robert are Robert, William , Henry, Mary Ann Thomazine, Thomas, John, Charles and Walter. Let me know if you found anymore please?
Regards Diane.

Hi Karen,

Thanks for the information on William's children.

I did find Robert's children information from the census and found a few on the IGI. I have John's birth certificate as he is my direct link, also Robert, Mary Ann Thomazine and Thomas. The others I have guessed the dob from the census info I had. Not sure why some are listed with a Mary and John?
