Hi again. It is possible that William was his Father. If he had been in the forces, he may not have made it back in time for the marriage to be before the birth. Ethel.

Hi Tracey.
Marriage of Emma to William H Bannister. 1918. Oct/Dec Qtr. reg in Sculcoates. vol 9d 437

This certificate will give her Father's name and occupations, and witnesses who may be siblings.

Emma born. 1898 Oct/Dec Qtr. reg in Sculcoates. vol 9d 195. Copy of this will also give the mother.

These obviously need checking to be absolutely sure they are the right ones.

If right, then a search can be made further back. Ethel.

Im trying to find out about my grandfather Albert Ralph he was born in 1918 in Hull his mother by his birth cert wasnt married her name was Emma Ralph i think she married later in 1918 to someone called William H Bannister if any one knows please get in touch. I dont know if he has brothers or sisters all i know is he married someone called Clarice Olsen and had 2 children called Albert in 1939 and Clifford in 1941.
