Are you sure he married in the West Midlands? There is a marriage in 1949 for a William H Bain but it took place in Weston.

Thanks again, this seems very promising, my wife only very recenly became aware that he may of been born in the NEWCASTLE area, but still does not know this for a fact as yet.For quite some years my wife has tried to trace his whereabouts, unsuccessfuly so far, but now with this internet
access, maybe something more definate will turn up.

William H Bain mothers maiden name Robinson in Newcastle T vol 10b page 262, 2nd qtr 1927.

can anybody give any info; on William Hunter Bain. born 1927 ?? and married in the Midlands in the late 1940's.
his mother and brother may of lived in St. Albans, Herts.
I believe that he is still living,and is now about 80 years old.
i last saw my dad in the mid 1950's. any help would be much appreciated.
