Gater look up please

I would be grateful if someone can do a look up on ancestry.com to see if there are any us / canadian immigration records for a

william J gater born in 1886 in upottery devon
also his wife elizabeth M Gater born in 1889 in the uk. I think they migrated from 1928 - 1938. thank you very much.

I can't find death entries for these folks so I am assuming that they have migrated. Starting with the us / canada but don't actually know. regards Zoe
