The birth details I posted are pure guesswork based on the location of the family in 1841.

The IGI gives more possible children born after 1841 with the parents of James and Eliza.

As there does not appear to be a marriage on IGI then you will have to purchase a birth cert to get the maiden name.

Check the 1851 census and then compare children between 1841 and 1851 to BMD and then buy one of the birth certs

I am really having problems understanding the BMD
they dont give parents names, so how do you know it is the correct person?
did you find any info as to Eliza's maiden name..
i think it is going to take me a little time to work all this out

Hi all
I have a Joseph Morgan b 1840 in the 1851 UK Census
Fathers name James b abt 1795
Mothers Name Eliza b abt 1807
I am only new to ancestry and would like to find Eliza's
maiden name. ancestry records don't seem to go back far enough and info as where to look would be very helpful.
