Sailors Log Book

Where would get a copy of my great grandad and his sons official log book which gives details of when and where they sailed to and possibly have a photo of them. My great grandad was a stoker and I don't know what his son did on the ships. Talking from around 1880-1930's.

was this merchany navy cos those are now held in Nova Scotia and you need to know the ships name for them to search .
All costs ,OF COURSE!!!

Some ships logs are held at KEW but only those trips that had some unusual event happening

If it was Royal Navy, you should be able to download from National Archives site. No photos but a description, including tattoos!
