Hi,
We are trying to trace our family tree and would like any info on a -
Robert Todd born 1914 in Durham, He died at the Annfield Plain Pit from a falling stone in 1940.
He married Dorothy Jane Taylor in 1937 in Lanchester Durham. they lived in Stanley Durham.

On death registration he is just Robert Todd (no middle Initial)

Hi,
I have looked on the Death Registration and it just says Robert Todd no middle name. June 1940,
I can find a marrige reg for them Todd to a Taylor in Lanchester Durham 1937.
I am guessing the next step would be to get a copy of the marrige cert. Then hopefully Roberts Fathers name will be on there ?.
I have also found a Birth Reg Robert Todd 1914, Mothers name Leach, in Lanchester could have been born Lanchester if married there ? so I have a bit of a start.

Hi would you be able to tell me if you have names of Roberts siblings.
My Nan,Ethel Todd was born11th August 1906,
She had a brother called Robert also a few more siblings.They were from the Sunderland area,I think Ethels mum was Irish.

Not sure of any siblings as yet, Not seen marrrige cert to find out fathers name hopefully that will shed some light on things for me, as all info I have is in the above ^...
I can recall someone along the line mentioning Sunderland ! But at this point not sure sorry.

Hi emm,,Im not really sure I have recently been given some info from an aunt.I found out that my Nan,Ethel.had a brother Robert Todd,their fathers name was Thomas Todd.There were a few other siblings.
I think my nans mother was Irish,I havnt her name yet.
Fascinating stuff isnt it,maybe there isnt a link,I am awaiting some birth certificates so maybe we will keep intouch

Hi I have my Nanas Birth cert.

Ethel 11th August 1906 Born @30 Henry Street, Sunderland.
parents Thomas Todd and Mary(watson)
Thomas was a Ships Rivetter.

I have a few names of siblings
Polly,Charlie,Joe,Rob,John

this may not mean a thing to your search!

hi has anyone heard the story about the todds
that were born out of wedlock
because there mother gwen clitherio was a maid
at the todd manor house district unknown
but all four children have todd on there birth certs
the children were dondald betty peter and john
john is my brother in law born 1933 but his siblings
were born many years earlier
not alot to go on but can anyone help
