I am trying to find information about my great-grandmother Elsie Farrance, born in Chislehurst, kent about 1892. She worked as a domestic in a large house in Chislehurst, Kent but emigrated to Australia on the Geelong ship in 1913. She also married the same year whilst in Australia to an Arthur W Yearwood in Glebe. Any information about her or her husband would be much appreciated. |

No, I think Elsie was the daughter of Mary Jane and James, because her sister Florence was still alive until about 1985 and she gave my father a very small amount of info on his family. However, at the time he wasnt very interested so unfortunately I do not have much to go on. However, the fact that Elsie had a child out of wedlock and he was brought up as their brother was not mentioned!!! |
