John P. Hamstone/Hanstone - I have seen it both ways married
Alice Jane Gallagher abt June 1882 in Hartlepool reg district in
Co. Durham.
Is it possible to find the parents names of both bride and groom
on the BVRI or must I send away to the GRO for the certificate?

Have you looked for them on the 1881 census?

If you have found the marriage ref. and send for the cert, it will give you the names of the bride and groom's fathers.

To find the names and maiden names of their mothers, you will need to send for their birth certs.
