Member Since: December 2002 Posts: 10 Send Message	Trying to trace the ancestry of my grandfather, William Arthur Dale, known as Bill. I believe he was born in Nottingham in c1920 (possibly Wollaton Vale) and married Margaret Marion Measey (known as Marion) probably in the 1940s. They had three sons, (David) Paul, Adrian and Simon. I am the daughter of Adrian. William and Marion Dale lived in Burton Overy in Leicestershire for many years. Does anyone have any information that can help me to get started? 	There is this possible birth in 1920 Surname First name(s) Mother District Vol Page -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Births Sep 1920 (87%) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dale William McCormack Nottingham 7b 734 If this is the right one then ordering the birth cert from GRO will give you parents names and you should be able to find them in the census records.
