Hi Diane:

You can order Workhouse Records from your local Morman Family History Centre I searched Records for the Liverpool Workhouse from 1857-1929 . Each film covers about two years and there is lots of family information on them. Most are also in alpha order so you don't have to waste time. The FHC allow anyone to use their libraries and are extremely helpful. the films take about 3 weeks to arrive and cost about $6 American. Hope this helps

A records office local to the workhouse may hold records. Google the local records office and see if they list their archive material or email them.

Is there a way to find out if someone was an inmate in a workhouse in approx the 1920/30s? I have been on a website for one workhouse it could be, but there are no inmate records listed.
