Poirot

Thanks for your reply, I wouldn't consider it moaning.

We have to look through enough lists of names from ancestry as it is. If we have to go into each thread to see who it is they are trying to find, it makes it very long winded!

I tend to ignore the ones which say "trying to find" and look at the others. Just makes life easier and quicker for me.

I want GR members to see the names I am trying to find info on, so I put them in the thread title to catch their eye!

both Margaret and I have said the very same thing, we know its the trying to find board ! so why type it in again ? though one silly member told me "I was moaning ? because I pointed this out.

Is it me that is finding the "trying to find" board awkward?

Ever since GR changed the site, I find it difficult to scan through the threads for names of interest to me. All I see, is pages of "Trying to find" for the thread titles and I have to open them to get more info.

I have been through all of my own and changed the thread title to read the individual names and the area to which they are from. Then have put the surname in the next box (presumably for the site to search for this surname).

Hopefully they will be noticed more.

Would it be forward of me to ask that everyone does the same?

Or am I being Fussy??

Dee
