Please can anyone tell me how I go about finding the death certificate?

My grandfather Harry Englefield, Born in 1907 in England, went to Canada on holiday in Oot 1975 and died whilst out there. his ashes were brought back to the uk but cannot find his death registered in the Uk. Help!

His death would be registered in Canada. Perhaps he may have left a will? You could search probate index, which would give you date and place of death, which might then enable you to order a death cert from Canada. Or, his death may have been reported in the paper local to where he was living in England, and should give details.
