hello all, our William WILKINS must have been quite achartacter ship log has him with scar on his left check , trade as soldier, labouer, & boatsman , trying to learn where i could get details re his desertion . his convict years in Australia shows him with lots of squiggle on his 2 ticket of leave ! even got to be constable cacthing bush ranger yet alleged Fraud in 1836 landed back in trouble . he arrieved in Port Jackson (Sydney) on the Lord Melville 2nd - on 3 may 1829 . did find site with records of ship Lord Melville 2nd registered his name on 14 nov 1828 ( source HO 11/6) yet ship log says sailed London 05/01/1829 (Charles Bateson Book)

he eventually married and reared 11 children

could someone guide me where to find info regarding what war he could possibly be in ? my mystery is how he got from Belam after being charged there in 07/11/1827 to reach leaving in 1829?

on his death cert. no mention of his dad or mum name either !
thanking in advance , best wishes to all , kind regards claire
