Brothers John and William West were baptised at Stoke Damerel, Devon in 1803 and 1805 respectively. Their parents were John and Elizabeth West. The younger John became a shipwright in the dockyard at Chatham, Kent and married Matilda Taylor (c.1803-1835) in 1823 and Louisa King (1811-1886) in 1837. He died in 1872. Looking for any family members and any information on John and Elizabeth or William. Many thanks, Tony. |

hi anthony my godparents were west, owned the longfrie hotel in guernsey 40 something years ago they were john and margery ( i think) emigrated to australia they had 2 children penny and david both still living,pennys married name is storey .hope this is helpful.sue guernsey. |
