Where do I get the GRO index ref from?

Carolyn, you don't need the date to order a cert, just the quarter and the GRO index reference.

That would be what I have just trying to find out if it is the 12th or the 29th September 1912 so I can order a certificate.

Looking for any info for the marriage of William Ernest Young and Alice Morley. I have 2 dates; 12 September 1912 and 29 September 1911/12. The marriage took place in London. Can anyone help please.
