Thanks, for the info, although I dont know if George's first wife was Sarah it does match with the death and marraige. However if she died in 1910 aged 34 that would make her bith in 1876 which would mean when she married in 1892 she was only 16. I suppose that is possible.

Free BMD has a marriage of George Bignell and Sarah Maria Bullock, same page June Q 1892, Dursley.

Free BMD has the death of a Sarah Bignell, aged 34, in Tetbury, March Q 1910.
George's first wife?
Tetbury is where Emmanuel was born.

Thanks for the info that does look like it could be the marriage. I’ll work on getting the cert. I don’t know who Emmanuel’s mother was as I think my grandfather only knew Lucy as his grandmother

I need some help as I have drawn a blank. My grandfather is John Bignell, his father was Emmanuel Bignell (1904 – 1971 this is what I have) and his father was George Bignell (c. 1875). George married Lucy Juggins nee Jones 1865 but later on in life after George was widowed (I have info on Lucy as her daughter from her 1st marriage, Alice, married Emmanuel). I cannot seem to find George and all I have to go on is that I think he is from Gloucester, his son’s name and his second wife’s name! Any help would be great.
