We think my ggggrandad Thomas Walsh c 1850 was born in Beagh, Dunmore, Galway, this is where he farmed. He spent long periods in England working as a labourer. His sons James c1874 and John c1873 settled in England.

He also had 4 daughters Bridget c1876, Kate c1880, Margaret c1881 and Sarah c1885. We think the daughters emigrated to the USA. Bridget returned to Galway where she died c1930.

The family were RC and the Beagh parish records have been destroyed for the period we require.
