Find Ancestors

Thanks for your information ref dad and I believe his brother the reason I think you can find no birthdates is I was toldthey come from the Inverness region of Scotland I have been on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk but could not find them on their either.If you know of other ways of finding out could you please help. Could not find a birth, could he of been born out of the uk?

Hi I am Raymond Mark McIvor son of Alexander Edward McIvor.I am trying to find any existing relatives of my dads he said he was from a big family I am not sure how big. My dad died in 1993 in Taunton Somerset I still live here along with my brother Paul Alexander McIvor and half sister Ruth Hall. I am 55 Paul is 56 and Ruth is ?? don,t want give to much away ref the ladies. I have been trying to search my ancestry for some years with no great luck I hope now I am on the internet I have some better luck. My dads birth certificate which was a sent away for duplicate in 1963 so he could get divorced has his name as Alexander Edward Stuart but he joined the Royal navy 1943 as a McIvor and also married in 1951 as McIvor. I have had no luck looking under either name. My mum told me of a brother Sinclair Hallam McIvor I believe I visited this family down in Cross in hand Sussex when I was still in short trousers it was a big family lots of kids. I believe the father was a charcoal maker not 100% on this. I do hope someone out there can fill in some of my missing history, Please any McIvors out there HELP. Raymond Mark McIvor.
