I am looking for information on Robert Fields born c1855. His father was Joseph Fields (on marriage certificate).

Robert married Bertha Goodridge in Wakefield 1903. I believe he was born in either Middlesex or Cambridge but I cannot find him in the birth index.

Robert was a locomotive driver at the steel works. He died in 1972 in Rotherham, Yorkshire.

Can you check your dates, Claire?

Born c1855 -- married 1903 (at nearly 50), died 1972 (at nearly 120) -- is that right?

Also, wife's surname seems to have been Godridge -- although ...
