How old were William and Mary when they died? You could get Mary's death certificate from scotlandspeople which should give you the names of her parents which would enable you to search for a marriage once you know her maiden name. You will not be able to get one for William from them as the deaths only go up to 1956. It is going to cost you money to do this but I think for the info that you can get from some certs it is well worth the money.

Hi,
I am trying to get further with my tree, but have hit a brickwall. The family name is Cumming/ Mc Nab from the Lanarkshire area of Scotland. I have William Cumming, died 13th May 1962, Mary Cumming (nee ?) died 2nd May 1944, Presumably they both died in Lanarkshire, as they are buried at Cambusnethan Cemetery. There son John Cumming, born 15th April 1922, Lanarkshire?, died 26th September 1988 in Lancaster. His wife Jean Cumming ( nee Mc Nab) born 22nd May 1915, possibly in the Kirkintilloch area? died Blackpool 2nd November 1983. They had a daughter Sadie, who had me. This is all I have on my family, can anybody help, please.
