Member Since: December 2004 Posts: 19 Send Message	Am trying to find relatives of James McCabe, born in Portobello,, Edinburgh, in 1880. His parents were Bridget Hendrick (Or McKendrick), and Thomas McCabe. He worked in Leith Dockyard, prior to going in to the army. He died during the Battle of the Somme, and was awarded the Military Medal after his death. The family were living at 6 Hamilton Street, Leith, in 1907. James had 3 children with his partner Mary Elizabeth Eagleson, James (1907) John (1909) and Catherine or Cathy(1910), but they never married.
